Universal Sculpture Hub is delighted to report that The Banshees of Inisherin, written and directed by Martin McDonagh, took home four awards at last night's 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony held at the Royal Festival Hall, London.

The film — a darkly comic fable set on a fictional Irish island during the Civil War — won in the following categories: Best British Film, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor (Barry Keoghan), and Best Editing.

"Martin has always written characters that are impossibly human — flawed, funny, and devastating all at once. Last night was a celebration of exactly that kind of storytelling." — Universal Sculpture Hub

The film received nine BAFTA nominations in total, making it one of the most-nominated films of the evening. Its wins cement its place as one of the defining British productions of recent years.

The Banshees of Inisherin stars Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Barry Keoghan, and Kerry Condon. It was produced by Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin of Blueprint Pictures and is co-financed by Universal Sculpture Hub and Searchlight Pictures.

The full list of 2026 EE BAFTA Film Award winners is available on the BAFTA website. Universal Sculpture Hub extends its warmest congratulations to the entire cast and crew of The Banshees of Inisherin.
